Anaerobic Adhesive
Anaerobic Adhesive
Anaerobic Adhesive
The word “anaerobic” means “without air”, which means that these adhesives cure on removal of air (oxygen). The other pre-condition for anaerobic adhesives to cure is that they need to be in contact with a metal. Hence, anaerobic adhesives remain in liquid form until they are isolated from oxygen and come in contact with metals like iron, copper, etc. Anaerobic adhesives fill the gaps between metal components in an assembly (for example, a nut and bolt assembly). It is because of this property that they are used to augment the seal or hold components of a mechanical assembly together – all these applications usually require high shear strength.
Parson Adhesive Inc. is one of the leading manufacturers for a wide range of high-quality anaerobic adhesives for industrial engineering applications. Sonlok® range of anaerobic adhesives is used globally by a wide spectrum of industries spanning from electronics to automotive companies. The anaerobic adhesives include thread locking, thread sealant, retaining compound, and gasketing compound. Some grades are certified to NSF, Military, NSF and WRAS specifications.

Cyanoacrylate Adhesives
Cyanoacrylate Adhesives
Cyanoacrylate Adhesives
The future trend of instant adhesive- very low odor and low whitening
Cartell Chemical has been at the forefront of creating the most advanced cyanoacrylate adhesives by developing a new “Crackless” process for the synthesis of different cyanoacrylate monomers through research and development. This new method utilizes much lower temperatures and the reaction takes place in a simple aqueous solution, so as to create functional cyanoacrylate monomers with a much higher yield, which is where the traditional process falls short.
Methoxyethyl Cyanoacrylate, a.k.a. MECA, has been chosen by Cartell as the main product to be produced using the new technology. MECA enjoys the benefits of low odor, low blooming, flexibility, and fast setting times, which are ideal for both consumer and industrial markets. Not only does the MECA enjoy additional benefits in physical performance, but it is also more user and environmentally friendly.
Today, Cartell produces a comprehensive MECA range that is comparable to Ethyl-2 Cyanoacrylate adhesives but minus the whitening and smell characteristics. Methoxy instant adhesive not only has additional advantages in physical properties but also has a better operating experience for operators and is more environmentally friendly.
This instant adhesive is more advantageous than the traditional ethyl instant adhesive, which opens up a new vision and business opportunities for the instant adhesive market

Encapsulation Compounds
Encapsulation Compounds
Encapsulation and potting of sensitive electronic components can enhance and prolong the functionality of electronic devices from the harsh environment, provides excellent electrical insulation properties, thermal aging resistance and good heat dissipation. Most of these encapsulation compounds are formulated in 1 Component or 2 Component system that will allow the electronics design engineer to select one that will fulfill the process and functionality purpose.
Most of these encapsulations compounds are formulated with excellent features like thermal aging resistance, electrical strength to withstand high voltage, chemical resistance to prevent corrosion on components, weather/humidity shielding and fire retardance property.
With higher performance standards and stringent demands from the manufacturing industries, like automotive, RFID, Power & Electrical, mobile devices, electronics and IT related products, all the SMDs and components are well insulated and protected with polymer-based encapsulation to ensure the functionality and longevity of these products.
For most of the encapsulation compounds that are commonly used in the industries fall under 4 major categories:
- 1 & 2 Component Epoxy System
- 2 Component Polyurethane
- 1 & 2 Component Silicone System
- Low-Pressure Molding System (LPM)
Conformal Coatings
Conformal Coatings
Conformal Coatings
Conformal coatings play an integral part for the PCB assembly as it serves to protect the circuit boards from the harsh environment, electrical insulation, thermal and electrical resistance the entire circuitry life. Conformal coatings are proven to be effective in protecting circuit boards used in the Automotive Electronics, Aerospace & Military Electronics, Shipboard & Marine Electronics, Solar & Energy Electronics, Mobile Consumer Electronics, Medical Electronics and Outdoor Electronics
The typical chemistry base for conformal coatings:
- Acrylic
- Silicone
- Polyurethane
- UV Acrylic
- Epoxy.
More recently, AI Technology introduces two new types of conformal coatings that are qualified under the IPC-CC-830C standards of testing and meet the Mil-Std requirements of MIL-I-46058.
The key difference in these new types of conformal coatings is the ability to block moisture and corrosive gases while being hydrophobic for unparalleled conformal circuit protection.
- Ultra-Hydrophobic (Repels Water Completely)
- Super Non-Hygroscopic (Does Not Absorb or Retain Moisture)
- Moisture Blocking
Both types of conformal coatings can be applied with standard spray-dip-brush methods and air dry at ambient temperature for the thickness of 15-50 microns and “Parylene-type” performance.
Today’s advanced outdoor electronics may be exposed to high humidity, salt-fog and salt-spray, temperature variance or even thermal shock, and the industrial atmosphere is laden with corrosive gases like sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen dioxide, etc. Millimeter frequency devices, like those used with 5G, feature fine-pitch components and leads separated by smaller, ever closing distance, creating a greater need for the prevention of ionic migration.
MMA & Structural Adhesives
Methyl Methacrylate Adhesives
Methyl Methacrylate Adhesives
Methyl methacrylate (MMA) adhesives have a different cure mechanism than other two component reactive adhesives. These adhesives, based on a modified type of acrylic, are fast curing and offer high strength and toughness.
Supplied as two parts (resin and catalyst), they are usually mixed immediately before application. Some more specialised types are also available where the components can be applied in separate operations: the resin component to one surface to be bonded, the catalyst to the other. They tolerate minimal surface preparation and bond well to a wide range of materials like metals, engineering plastics, composite and fiberglass. The products are available in a wide range of cure speeds and as liquids or pastes.
The cure profile of MMA adhesives can be adjusted more readily than other types of two component adhesives. This allows formulation of adhesives that have a slower reaction rate immediately after mixing to allow more time for adhesive application and assembly of parts (longer worklife). After a short period of time (induction period), the rate of reaction increases to provide more rapid strength build-up. This reduces the time components need to be fixtured before bonded assemblies can be processed further.

Lubricants & Contact Cleaner
DeoxIT®
DeoxIT® D-Series
DeoxIT® D-Series contact cleaner dissolves oxides and sulfides that form on metal surfaces. This restores the contact’s integrity and leaves a thin microscopic layer that protects the metal. Special additives improve conductivity and prevent dissolved oxides from re-attaching, keeping them in suspension and allowing them to be easily dispersed by the mechanical action of the contact.
DeoxIT® Gold G-Series
DeoxIT® Gold G-Series (formerly ProGold), is a unique conditioning solution that improves conductivity and provides long-lasting protection on gold, base metals and other precious metal contacts and connections (gold, silver, rhodium, copper, bronze, nickel, etc.). DeoxIT® Gold is the only product that actually penetrates plated surfaces, molecularly bonding to the base metals to seal and protect both surfaces.
DeoxIT® Shield S-Series
DeoxIT® Fader F-Series
